Sophisticated fun, ultra stylish, modern chic and Dublin's best loved boutique hotel The Morgan has just launched The Morgan Suite Resident's Lounge. The room will be a haven for corporate guests where they will be able to relax and unwind in the stylish surroundings of their own exclusive lounge whilst staying in the four star hotel. Decorated with Philip Starck furniture, comfortable seating and offering a celebration of contemporary design, clean, simple lines, uncluttered elegance, the room is ideal for guests who need to chill out or work in peace with complimentary Wi-Fi access also available.

To coincide with the launch, The Morgan held a 'Sex and the City' themed corporate evening on Thursday 13th May to showcase the new room as well as the hotel which includes: the award winning Morgan Bar, Parisian style courtyard, 120 designer guestrooms, trendy penthouse and 5 state-of-the-art meeting rooms.

Upon arrival guests' sipped cosmos and enjoyed canapes in the funky Morgan Bar. Guests were free to browse the various meeting rooms, penthouse and Morgan Suite Resident's Lounge whilst enjoying a drink or two!

At 8.30pm guests enterered the Connection Suite where they enjoyed a glass of prosecco and chocolate-dipped strawberries for a true 'Sex and the City' experience! 'Fashionista" and style guru Lisa Fitzpatrick hosted a fashion show in conjunction with Assets Model Agency and a variety of summer lines were showcased including the new Bastyan range from Brown Thomas.

Guests also had the opportunity to enjoy a pampering in the infamous penthouse where beauty therapists were available onsite with a variety of treatments including manicures and massage. Whilst waiting for treatments guests could check out the rooftop airstream and admire the views over the Dublin city skyline!

Amongst the 150 mostly female guest list included hotel owner Paul Fitzpatrick, TV3 Producer Deric Hartigan and Eugene Masterson - Sunday World.

The atmosphere for the night was curious, crazy and cool, and all in all, a most enjoyable and entertaining evening was had by everyone! Certainly in-keeping with The Morgan's reputation, the Resident's Lounge was launched in true designer style!

The Fitzpatrick Design Collection consisting of the contemporary style luxury boutique hotels, Dublin: The Morgan & Beacon, located in city centre & Sandyford, has announced the appointment of Anne Marie Whelan as Group Sales & Marketing Director.

Prior to this, Anne Marie previously led the team for more than six years at the five star Shelbourne Hotel, where she rebranded and relaunched the hotel under Marriott International. A former graduate of DIT Cathal Brugha Street, Anne Marie's 19 year career has taken her to the UK with brands such as Millennium Copthorne, Cliveden in Berkshire and closer to home, Conrad Dublin and was General Manager at The Glenview Hotel in Wicklow, where she won Best General Manager in 2002, from the HSMAI.

Anne Marie says 'that it is her passion and pride to deliver exceptional service that keeps her focused and eager to succeed in this very competitive industry. This is a new challenge that she looks forward to embracing and working for such a market leader in innovation and style, Paul Fitzpatrick and his team, is what made her jump at the opportunity'.
