The Grand Canal Theatre commenced building in January 2007 and later became known as The Bord Gais Energy Theatre. The theatre's policy will always be to present something for everyone via a very diverse programme of theatrical experiences to meet every ones passion and interests including Ballets, Musicals, Family Shows, Drama, Concerts, Comedy, Orchestral and Opera, many of which would not have been possible to stage in Ireland before.
