Dublin Zoo

The 28-hectare Dublin Zoo is nestled within the Phoenix Park and features many beautiful gardens and lakes. The stylish Morgan Hotel is centrally located in Temple Bar, putting you just a 10-minute drive away from discovering over 400 animals at the incredible Dublin Zoo. Spend a day at the zoo learning about rare and endangered species.

Attracting nearly 1 million visitors a year, Dublin Zoo is one of Ireland’s most popular family attractions. A day at the zoo will provide a fun experience for both adults and children. While all ages are welcome, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult for access into the Zoo. It is suggested to set at least three hours aside to see everything that the zoo has to offer, though you can very easily spend the whole day exploring.

Having opened in 1831, Dublin Zoo is one of the world’s oldest and most popular zoos in Europe. The zoo's 28 hectares attracts nearly 1 million visitors a year. A visit to the zoo not only offers a fun day out for all, but also a journey of learning and discovery about the world’s precious wildlife.

A stay at The Morgan allows you to easily get to the zoo, located in Dublin 8. If you are driving, you can park your car at either the Lord’s Walk car park beside the zoo, or the Cricket Grounds car park opposite the zoo, both car parks are open from 10am daily. From the city centre, there are various buses running constantly that will drop you off at the Phoenix Park. Bus numbers 25, 26, 66 / 66A / 66B, 67 will be able to take you from The Morgan to the Phoenix Park. Alternatively, you can take the Luas red line to Heuston Station which will leave you about a 15-minute walk from the zoo.
