The Morgan Hotel located in the heart of Dublin city is the perfect place to base yourself for the St Patricks Festival weekend with all of the festival activities mere minutes’ walk from the hotel including the parade!

In Dublin, the run-up to St Patrick’s Day is an excellent excuse for a festival embracing everything from salsa dancing to céilís (traditional dances); sampling the best pint of " black stuff" (Ireland's most famous export Guinness) or simply taking part in the lively and linguistic build-up to the big day, with events throughout the city. The oldest St Patrick’s Day parade in Ireland was in County Wexford and it began in 1917 and is still going strong.

Every year thousands of parades take to the streets all around the world celebrating St Patrick’s Day and Dublin’s parade is the leading traditional parade. People and contestants both national and international make their way to Dublin for the day festival to be a part of the international festival. Make sure to check out photos from previous parades here to see what an incredible spectacle it is!
